Jennifer Lopez impersonates Rihanna in spoof charity single on Saturday Night Live!
They say imitation is the highest form of flattery...
So let's hope Rihanna saw the funny side when Jennifer Lopez impersonated her on hit US TV show Saturday Night Live.
Wearing a short blonde cropped wig styled like Rihanna and a military-style jacket, Lopez sang in the same style as the Bajan star in a spoof of the We Are The World single.
Lopez's costume looked remarkably like the costume sported by Rihanna out and about in New York last June.
The Latina singer, 40, sang: 'There comes a time - er - when we heed a certain call - eh - when the world must come together as one.'
She also showed her sense of humour when she sang about ex-boyfriend Sean 'Diddy' Combs, referring to his butler: 'He was the fella who held the umbrella for P Diddy...'
Imitation is the highest form of flattery: J.Lo sings alongside a comedienne pretending to be Gwen Stefani
'Ella... ella... ella': Lopez had clearly listened to Rihanna's song as she included her trademark 'ers' in the song
She then dropped in a few lines of one of Rihanna's big hits Umbrella with a few 'ella... ella... ellas'.
She was joined by the show's many comedians, dressed as Gwen Stefani, Lady GaGa, Shakira and Willie Nelson, among others.
The mother-of-two's Rihanna impersonation was just one of several skits she took part in as she hosted the popular weekend show.
She also dressed up as a nun in a spoof Spanish soap opera.
Hostess with the mostess: Lopez drew attention to her famous behind in her figure-hugging black dress
She opened the show with a monologue wearing a tight black dress, which drew attention to her famous asset - her curvy behind.
Currently inbetween record contracts, Lopez gave music labels a taste of her latest music by a performance of her new song Starting Over.
Lopez announced last week she had left Sony Records as 10 years on the label's roster.
She insisted it was a mutual decision, but record executives were rumoured to be unhappy with the commercial response to her latest singles Louboutins and Fresh Out Of The Oven.
Lopez's latest few albums haven't sold as well as her first two LPs and remix album.
Her last big musical success was her 2002 album This Is Me... Then, which hit number six in the US charts and sold over 6million copies worldwide.
However, her 2005 album Rebirth received mixed reviews from critics and sold 731,000 copies in the U.S.
Her last album Brave, which was released three years ago, was her least successful album ever and only reached 24 on the British album charts.
Speaking last week, she said: 'I have belonged to the Sony family since the beginning of my career as a singer and together we've had great success.
'I have fulfilled my contractual responsibilities with Sony/Epic up to this point, and we have both reached friendly terms about my departure from the label.
'I'm also happy to say that we've found a new home for my album Love and that it is slated for release in the summer of 2010.'
Although her new label was not revealed, reports have said that she has recently been in talks with Island Def Jam.'
