Jennifer Lopez may be one of the most successful pop stars in the world, but that doesn’t mean her kids are impressed with her music.

The singer recently released a new album, but J.Lo surprised fans by admitting her twins aren’t a fan of the new sound.

Speaking to Variety, Lopez shared insights into her children's musical preferences, revealing that her twins, Emme and Max, have a fondness for her earlier hits, such as "Jenny From the Block."

During the interview, the singer recalled an occasion when she played her two-decade-old album, "This Is Me … Then," for her teenage children at home.

J. Lo described her children's reaction, saying they said, "‘Is this you, Mommy?’” with awe and astonishment.

Subsequently, when she played another one of her classic tracks, Jennifer sought her children's opinions.

To her delight, she received a resounding "yes" from the 15-year-olds, indicating their appreciation for her older repertoire.

However, then came a backhanded comment, as J.Lo admits her kids told her they liked her old tracks compared to what she’s put out recently.

“And then they’re like, ‘Yeah, we like this more than the music you make now,’” Lopez said while laughing, calling it a “good ouch.”

Jennifer's third studio album, "This Is Me … Then," which originally released in November 2002, is set to debut its long-awaited film sequel.

The Amazon original production, titled "This Is Me…Now: A Love Story," has been described by the streaming platform as a "highly visual and musical reimagining of her publicly scrutinized love life.”

It’s scheduled for release on February 16, coinciding with the launch of her ninth album.

Starring Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck as themselves, the film promises to narrate the intricacies of their widely publicized on-again-off-again relationship.

The couple dated in the early 2000s, only to call off their engagement in 2004.

However, they reconciled in 2021 and finally tied the knot the following year, though their continues to be speculation about their high-profile romance.
